This notice explains how we process the personal data you provide when using the uptools.hu website (the “Site”), in particular via the contact form, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination (Infotv.).

2. Personal data we process

Through the contact form we process the following data:

• name,
• email address,
• agency / company name,
• team size and the type of support requested,
• the content of your message.

When you visit the Site, server logs may record your IP address, browser and device data, and the time of access.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Contact and proposals

Purpose: to respond to your enquiry and prepare a possible collaboration. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the checkbox when you submit the form, and/or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Operating and securing the Site

Purpose: to keep the Site running and prevent abuse. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Retention period

We keep the data provided via the contact form for as long as needed to answer your enquiry and decide on a collaboration, and at most until you withdraw your consent. If a contract is concluded, we retain the data for the statutory periods (e.g. under the Hungarian Accounting Act, Act C of 2000).

5. Processors and recipients

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. To provide the service we use the following processors:

• hosting provider — serving the Site;
• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) — delivery of contact-form emails, in a region within the European Union.

We may disclose data required by law upon an official request from an authority.

6. Transfers to third countries

Emails are delivered through an Amazon Web Services region within the European Union, so under normal operation no transfer outside the EU takes place. Should such a transfer occur, it will be made with the appropriate GDPR safeguards (e.g. the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your data,
• rectification of inaccurate data,
• erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
• restriction of processing,
• object to processing,
• data portability,
• withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

You can exercise these rights at the email above; we respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

8. Remedies

If you believe our processing infringes your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority or go to court (including the court of your place of residence).
